About University
SVKM's NMIMS is a private deemed university located in Mumbai. The University also has campuses at Bangalore, Hyderabad, Indore and Navi Mumbai and two upcoming campuses in Dhule and Chandigarh. It has 17 constituent schools that offer both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in management, engineering, commerce, pharmacy, architecture, economics, mathematical sciences, hospitality, science, law, aviation, liberal arts, performing arts, architecture & design. It has a 3.59 CGPA and an A+ grade, and is NAAC certified. The MHRD also granted NMIMS Category I University status.
As a management school affiliated with the University of Mumbai, Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal established NMIMS in 1981 with financing from the Narsee Monjee Educational Trust. With only 40 students and 4 full-time faculty members, NMIMS started its adventure by providing a Masters in Management Studies. It became a deemed university established under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 by notification of UGC in 2003.

NMIMS is a very good college which is fast growing in stature. The courses offered have a feel good factor and are fresh. Subjects taught are really practical and helpful for further studies in commerce/management. They are very serious about attendence though. This in a way helps the student as he is not able to bunk much of the classes. The teachers are vastly experienced and easily approachable.
